Vivian Wood of Moneta recently was selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Pre-Teen Roanoke Pageant. Vivian learned of her acceptance into this year’s competition when pageant officials announced selections following interviews in the Roanoke area.
Vivian will be competing for thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be awarded to contestants.
She will compete in the Miss Pre-Teen division, one of four divisions that will have girls ages 7 to 19 competing in modeling routines.
If Vivian were to win the title of Miss Pre-Teen Roanoke, she would represent Roanoke, the surrounding communities and her sponsors at the national competition in Orlando, Fla.
More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the national competition, and each winner will get an all-expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
Chris Owen, owner of Chris Owen & Associates, Inc., and Daniel Adams, owner of The Friendly Cue pool hall, both in Lynchburg, are Vivian’s official business sponsors for this year’s pageant. Additional sponsors include Jim and Barbara Goin (grandparents); Mike and Debbie Jones; Howard Payne; and her parents.
