A frightening new haunted house. Event may be too intense for children under 13. Adult accompaniment required for anyone under 13.

Floyd Ghost Tour
Look for the Floyd Ghost Tour guides in their black clothes and top hats, leading the way through cemetery stones and around the center of town.

Ghosts & More
Ride a vintage tour bus through Rocky Mount, meeting the long dead and recently seen. True tales of ghostly sightings, murderous activity and intrigue will be told. Advance tickets recommended.

The Salem Museum Ghost Walk
A living history tour where visitors tour the East Hill Cemeteries to meet notable people from Salem's past. Reservations are suggested. Tours leave the museum every 15 minutes. May not be appropriate for children.
When: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 19 and 22

Cost: A minimum $6 per person donation is requested.
There's nothing like a hike through dark woods to put you in the Halloween mood. This is a 1.5 mile guided night hike (flashlights required) on the trails at Greenfield Park that will include numerous stops for spooky stories highlighting local legends and lore, including the infamous Greenfield Ghost. There are three hikes nightly. Reservations are encouraged.

Mayhem Manor Haunted School

Something Wicked Haunted Theatre
Take a tour of the Historic Masonic Theatre, 1905 wonder, if you dare. The Historic Masonic is filled with ghouls, goblins and ghosts for this special occasion.

Pumpkinfest and Salem Trick or Treating
At 10 a.m., prior to Pumpkinfest, children can trick or treat with downtown Salem merchants. Participants can also walk through the Chefs vs. Surgeons Jack O'Lantern Patch and vote for their favorite carved pumpkin. Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics.
