Thanks to everyone in our community who helped to make the Good Neighbors Fund drive a success again this year.
The board, staff and volunteers of Roanoke Area Ministries especially want to thank The Roanoke Times for continuing this annual tradition.
Using news stories during the fund drive, The Roanoke Times gave a clear and convincing voice to people striving to build a better life after experiencing poverty, homelessness and/or hunger. Those stories explained how emergency assistance helped individuals and families move from dependence toward independence.
The Good Neighbors Fund is the primary source of emergency assistance funding available to RAM.
Thanks to the contributions from all our “good neighbors,” RAM will be able to continue to provide short-term emergency financial assistance to many needy residents of the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas.
