Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Roanoke can say to Q99, “Thanks a million.”

The popular adult-contemporary radio station has raised more than $1 million since 2004 for sick and injured children who are treated at Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital in Roanoke and Centra Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.

Friday and Saturday mark the 10th anniversary of “Dick & Dave’s Care for Kids Radiothon” fundraiser on WSLQ-FM (99.1) hosted by Dick Daniels and David Page.

The on-air fundraiser runs from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday. Listeners will hear courageous stories from kids and parents who have battled illness and injury while staying at one of the children’s hospitals.

Listeners can make pledges by calling 1-877-335-KIDS (5437) or online at www.q99fm.com. All the money stays in the region.
