The Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is sponsoring a bus trip to see the Wohlfahrt Haus cast and band perform “Southern Nights,” a country music show. Peaks of Otter Winery

Roanoke Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a trip to the Blossom to Bottle open house and farm at Peaks of Otter Winery. Wine tasting is available. Exchange Hotel Civil War Museum

Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a trip to Gordonsville’s historic Exchange Hotel, Virginia’s only standing Civil War receiving hospital. Before the war, the hotel with its high ceilings and grand veranda welcomed passengers from two railway lines. By war’s end, more than 70,000 soldiers had been treated at the hospital. Participants will also visit the Barboursville Ruins. The $67 fee includes breakfast biscuit, tour fees, a lunch of Gordonsville’s famous fried chicken, bus and escort. Hillbilly Hideaway trip

Roanoke Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a day in North Carolina beginning with a “mystery” tour followed by a visit to Greensboro’s Replacements Ltd., supplier new and old china, crystal and silver. An all-you-can eat dinner at The Hillbilly Hideaway Restaurant and Music Hall in Walnut Cove is followed by a visit to the general store and gift shop before attending a performance of gospel, bluegrass and country music at the music hall.
