Dollywood’s Barbecue & Bluegrass festival
Roanoke Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a bus trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Day 1 includes the Sevierville Court House with Dolly Parton’s statue, the Titanic Museum, shopping at Tanger Outlet and a murder mystery dinner show. On Day 2, we spend the day at Dollywood for the festival. In the evening, the group goes to Short Pump Mall. On day two, the group drives to Reedville to take the 1.5-hour, narrated cruise to Tangier Island. In honor of the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument is sponsoring a bus trip tracing the life of Washington, the renowned educator and reformer.
