The wrecks occurred about 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fifth Street and Salem Avenue, according to Sgt. Jason Holt of the Roanoke Police Department.
A Cadillac and a Toyota Prius were stopped on Fifth Street at a traffic signal. According to the driver of the Prius, a Mercedes-Benz SUV collided with the Prius, which then lurched forward and struck the Cadillac.
