Roanoke has installed its first bike corral — a space reserved for parking bicycles — located at the intersection of Market Street and Campbell Avenue.
The bike corral, which is next to the City Market Building, can accommodate up to eight bicycles.
Located in the space between the pedestrian crosswalk and the nearest parking space on Market Street, it did not require closing any on-street parking nor did it use any sidewalk space.
