A wreck involving an overturned pick-up truck and its trailer closed part of Interstate 81 north for a few hours Sunday, but no one was hurt.
Trooper Todd Shrewsbury said the crash occurred about 3:10 p.m. when a Toyota pick-up pulling a camper lost control in the left lane at mile marker 127, near the Ironto exit. The lane closure backed up traffic approximately 11 miles, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The driver of the pick-up truck, David Tripp, of Wytheville, was charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle. He was not injured in the crash.
Both northbound lanes were reopened by about 6 p.m., according to Trooper J.E. Ratcliffe.
