A new tenant has signed a lease for the former Domestications outlet store space at Towers Shopping Center in Roanoke.

Mattress Firm plans to open a store this summer on the upper level of the center, next to Hibachi Express, according to Sheryl Simeck, a spokeswoman for Rappaport Cos., which owns Towers.

Right now, Dumpsters are sitting outside the empty store as crews remove and replace the storefront, according to a building permit filed in Roanoke.

Mattress Firm has been expanding its presence in the area. In April it opened a store near Tanglewood Mall in the space where the f.y.e. music and video store closed. The mattress company also has a store at Valley View.
