Comcast cable customers in the Roanoke Valley can now watch ball games in 3D.
Comcast has added 26 channels to its lineup for Xfinity customers, including ESPN 3D. Viewers must have 3D-capable televisions and 3D glasses, which are sold at many retail and electronics stores. Most new televisions sold in the past two years are equipped with both 3D and high-definition capabilities.
Comcast will offer one other 3D channel, Xfinity 3D.
The new channels include the high-definition versions of Bloomberg, PBS Kids Sprout, GSN, Oxygen and National Geographic Wild. The cable company also added seven new standard-definition channels, which include BBC World News, Military History and MoviePlex.
