RICHMOND — Virginia has reclaimed the title of “Best State for Business” according to rankings compiled by Forbes.com.
The Old Dominion recaptured the title after being listed as No. 2 from 2010-12.
“Our desirable business climate continues to be recognized by prestigious, independent third parties like Forbes.com, and we are thrilled to regain the No. 1 spot,” Gov. Bob McDonnell said in a news release.
In the survey, Virginia placed first in regulatory environment; second in labor supply; fourth in quality of life; fifth in economic climate; 17th in growth prospects; and 22nd in business costs.
