Irving Allen has joined the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech as an assistant professor of inflammatory disease in the department of biomedical sciences and pathobiology.
The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Virginia Campus announced that Dr. A nn Shaw Collins joined the faculty as the pediatrics and osteopathic manipulative medicine faculty member and Maria Garcia has joined as the coordinator for international and Appalachian outreach.
Dr. Jon Sweet, associate professor of medicine at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, received the 2013 Academic Teaching Award from the Virginia chapter of the American College of Physicians.
