A Michigan man was arrested at the motel and charged with four felonies

Pulaski police yesterday arrested a Michigan man on drug possession charges at the Budget Inn – the second drug bust reported at the motel this week.
Officers responded at about 10:30 p.m. to a community caretaker call for service, and while at the motel in the 500 block of East Main Street, they identified drug activity in one of the rooms, according to a news release.
Police secured that room and obtained search warrants for four rooms and a vehicle parked outside. With the assistance of the Dublin Police Department’s narcotics K9, officers located an unspecified amount of crack cocaine, marijuana and various types of Schedule II, III and IV prescription medications, according to the release.
Approximately $2,100 was also seized, police said.
DuJuan Antonio Cannon, 31, of Detroit, Mich., was charged with four felonies involving possession and possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I, II, III and IV narcotics. He was also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, according to the release.
Cannon was being held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail yesterday.
Misdemeanor citations were issued to Anthony Frank Laster, 25, of Detroit, and Terrell Marquis Love, 27, of Pulaski.
Both Laster and Love were released from the scene, according to the release.
On Monday night, Pulaski police responded to the Budget Inn to serve an arrest warrant and discovered what was described as an inactive methamphetamine lab. Two people were charged with manufacturing a Schedule I or II controlled substance and possessing precursors to manufacture meth, police have said.
