A Christiansburg man has been arrested and charged with malicious wounding in connection to an incident that occurred in March.
Allen Jay Dickerson, 47, is charged with stabbing another man once in the abdomen on March 23 at TJ’s Bar & Grill in the 2700 block of Roanoke Street, Christiansburg police spokeswoman Becky Wilburn said.
According to Dickerson’s case file, that other man was Anthony Underwood.
Wilburn said the two allegedly got into a “domestic dispute” about 11:30 p.m. The victim was taken by a family member to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, and police were then contacted.
Dickerson was not charged until lab results were returned on physical evidence that was collected during the investigation, Wilburn said.
Dickerson has been released from the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond. His arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 8.
If convicted, Dickerson faces up to 20 years in prison.
