RICHMOND — Virginia has received an additional $57 million in federal transportation funds originally allocated to other states.
Gov. Bob McDonnell announced the windfall Monday.
McDonnell says most of the additional money will be spent on paving projects. Also, $1.3 million will be spent on bridge painting and maintenance.
