Gun rights keep the citizenry free
Treading on our Second Amendment is only hurting law-abiding citizens. Criminals don't obey laws.
Our country was founded by citizens who fought to have freedom. They gave us our Second Amendment so we could keep our freedom.
Throughout history, dictators have disarmed citizens before taking over their countries. Crime runs rampant in cities where residents are not allowed to protect themselves because of anti-gun laws.
Don't punish law-abiding citizens because of the way a gun looks or some myth from the anti-gun crowd and media. If you want to stop mass shootings, stop the media from giving shooters their 15 minutes of fame. Don't show names and pictures for days. Simply tell that an incident happened.
If law-abiding citizens were not having their Second Amendment rights trampled, we would have fewer of these incidents. Arm law-abiding citizens and put God back in our country, and we will again be the great nation we were meant to be.

Keystone trail leads to Kochs
Re: Alwyn Moss' commentary, "Just say 'no' to Keystone" March 17:
Few people know that the Keystone pipeline is primarily a project to benefit the multibillion-dollar Koch Industries, one of the country's worst polluters.
Charles and David Koch are like the Wizard of Oz, preferring to hide behind a curtain of anonymity while others do their up-front work. They have founded or funded more than 50 nice-sounding organizations - such as The Cato Institute, Freedom Works, Americans For Prosperity and the tea party movement - that promote the Koch libertarian anti-government, anti-regulation, anti-tax, climate change-denying agenda. They are also among the most egregious congressional bribers via campaign contributions.
This and more information on the Kochs can be found in "The Obama Hate Machine," by Bill Press and an article, "Covert Operations," by Jane Mayer in the Aug. 30, 2010, edition of The New Yorker magazine (online at tinyurl.com/23f8nul).
Follow the money.
