We have 535 people in Washington who are supposed to be representing this country, (I won’t say our country, because it is not anymore.)
They stand in front of TV cameras and say “the people want.” Big joke. They don’t know what the people want, nor do they care. They draw big salaries, hospitalization, life insurance. Perks and retirement pay when they retire. They have offices in Washington and in their home cities. They go to work if they want to and don’t when they don’t want to.
Which doesn’t really matter, for they do nothing when at work. What is so sad is that we the people accept this. I don’t know what we can do, but I do know, were it not for waste in the country, and for power-hungry people in Washington, it could be a better country.
