WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Salem second baseman Sean Coyle hit a pair of home runs and tallied five RBIs to lead the Red Sox to a win over Winston-Salem.
Coyle took the first pitch of the game over the left field fence for his eighth home run of the year. After an error kept the Sox (13-14) alive in the second inning, Coyle hit a three-run shot to put the Sox up 4-0.
Coyle added a sacrifice fly to score Henry Ramos as part of a three-run sixth inning and Ramos tripled in the ninth inning to score the final two runs for the Sox.
Salem starter Henry Owens picked up his third win, striking out 10 and giving up just two hits over six innings. Matt Price pitched three innings for the save.
Salem's Garin Cecchini extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a pair of singles.
Jeremy Farrell and Kevan Smith each hit a two-run home run for the Dash (15-14).
