PULASKI - Gabrial Franca scored the winning run from second base on a throwing error by Astros third baseman Angel Ibanez in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mariners a walk-off 5-4 win at Calfee Park on Thursday night.
Greeneville jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning as Brian Holberton smashed a three-run home run to right. A Wallace Gonzalez RBI double in the fourth increased the Astros' lead to 4-0.
Pulaski tied the score with four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Wilton Martinez lofted an RBI sacrifice fly, Jesus Ugueto hit a two-run home to left, and Kristian Brito followed with a solo shot.
The score stayed tied until the ninth, when Franca walked with one out, stole second base, and scored the game-winning run after Zach Shanks grounded to third and Ibanez fielded it and threw it past the first baseman.
