PULASKI - Pulaski reliever Wander Marte misplayed the first ball he let get into play and the Greeneville Astros capitalized for a four-run sixth inning on their way to a 6-5 victory over the Martiners at Calfee Park on Saturday.
The score was tied at 2 through five innings, but Marte relieved Gabe Saquilon to start the sixth.
The first batter he faced, Thomas Lindauer, reached on the error, went to second and then third on balks. Marte walked the bases loaded, then was relieved by Rafael Pineda. A single, a walk, a groundout and a wild pitch by Pineda each pushed another run home for the Astros.
Kristian Brito went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs for the Mariners.
