No. 25 Virginia Tech 5, Delaware 3
BLACKSBURG — Tyler Horan had a pair of RBI singles to lead the Hokies (7-1) over the Blue Hens (3-3).
Down 3-2, Tech scored three runs in the fifth. Chad Morgan had an RBI double, followed by RBI singles by Horan and Chad Pinder.
Andrew Rash had an RBI single in the third for Tech.
Tech’s Devin Burke allowed one earned run in 7 2⁄3 innings.
Ferrum 3, Methodist 2
FERRUM — Jeffrey Swoope hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Panthers (6-7, 3-6) a USA South win over the Monarchs (6-5, 4-5).
Justin Cox had three hits, including a triple, and scored two runs.
