HARRISONBURG - Elizabeth Cheng of Hollins wrapped-up the 18th hole in a tie for the lead, but after a one-hole playoff finished second to Olivia Wright of Randoph-Macon in the Bridgewater Invitational women's golf tournament on Monday.
Wright claimed the medal and shot a two-round total of 155, leading the Yellow Jackets to the team victory.
Rachel Wright finished third for Washington and Lee, which also finished third in the team standings.
Wright, a North Cross graduate, finished at 162 and teammate and Hidden Valley grad Sara Moir finished in a tie for sixth, at 169.
F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate
CLARKSVILLE, TENN. - With one full round finished, Radford sits in fifth place after shooting a team total of 312 at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate hosted by Austin Peay.
Alexandra Austin and Hayley Hammond were tied for 12th place after both recorded a first-round 77. Olivia Jay was tied for 19th after shooting a 78. Paige Reese was tied for 31st after logging an 80, and Kristy Condon was tied for 44th after an opening-round 82.
Radford was 16 shots behind leader Murray State.
Roanoke, Washington & Lee, Ferrum at VA State Intercollegiate
WINCHESTER - Washington and Lee tied for second in the Virginia State Intercollegiate tournament after shooting a team total of 298.
Washington and Lee finished 11 strokes behind first place Hampden-Sydney, which shot a 287. Ferrum finished fifth at 305, and Roanoke College finished sixth with a 308.
Teddy Corcoran of Washington and Lee tied for second in the individual standings after carding a 71, while Roanoke College's Alex Taylor tied for ninth overall after shooting a 73.
