Virginia football coach Mike London said Sunday night that he has asked for clarification of a clock matter as the first half ended Saturday in the Cavaliers' game with visiting Georgia Tech.
London said he motioned to a sideline official with 11 seconds remaining in the half but the clock was not stopped until six seconds remained.
"How and why the clock got to ‘6,' I don't know," London said on his weekly Sunday teleconference. "I want to hear the mechanics that went into stopping the clock."
Time expired after Kevin Parks was stopped for no gain on second-and-goal from the Georgia Tech 1-yard line.
The Yellow Jackets went into halftime with a 14-10 lead and went on to win 35-25 at Scott Stadium.
