>Defensive lineman Andrew Brown, a consensus pick as one of the nation's top 10 football prospects for 2014, announced Saturday that he will sign with Virginia.
Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Virginia were the other finalists for Brown, a 6-foot-3, 298-pounder from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake.
Brown is one of two prospects in the rivals.com top 10 to choose Virginia, along with Quin Blanding, a defensive back from Bayside High School in Virginia Beach.
Blanding is rated the No. 4 prospect in the country by rivals.com and Brown is No. 7.
Uncommitted Woodbridge High School defensive lineman Marques Hand is first on that list.
Blanding attended Brown's announcement, along with 2013 UVa signees Taquan Mizzell from Bayside and Corwin Cutler from Ocean Lakes in Virginia Beach.
