Mailbag: Virginia Tech AD Weaver botched call on Thursday games
Saturday, March 9, 2013
Once again, the fan base at Virginia Tech has been disappointed, inconvenienced and not respected by athletic director Jim Weaver.
His decision to eliminate a Thursday night game this year is just another slap in the face of the 67,000 fans who love those games and have been there in the rain and cold through wins and losses.
Weaver acts as if he works for no one but himself and in this case apparently made this decision on his own. This is similar to his scheduling games in FedEx Stadium in Washington, D.C., which is an awful drive and has never been a pleasant experience.
Hokie fans, let's rise up and rid ourselves of this clueless dictator. We deserve better, our players deserve better and our coaches deserve better.
He does belong in Washington, but not in the stadium. He's a much better fit in Congress.
