NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Zoning Appeals hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room (Second Floor) of the County Government Center, Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Zoning Appeals intention to act on the following request: SUP-2021-00168- A request by Jacquelyn Hopkins Pugh for a Special Use Permit (SUP), with possible conditions, on approximately 1.551 acres in an Agricultural (A1) zoning district to allow an existing dwelling to be converted to an accessory structure exceeding the square footage and/or height of the proposed principal structure per Code Section 10-41(1)(a). The existing dwelling to be used for storage (for personal use) has an overall height of 20 ft. and is approximately 1622 sq. ft. in area. The proposed primary dwelling has an overall height of approximately 16 ft. and 1586 sq. ft. in area. The property is located at 4970 Blue Springs Road, and identified as Tax Parcel No. 126-A-41 (Parcel ID #008976), in the Riner Magisterial District; (Election District D). The property lies in an area identified as Resource Stewardship in the Montgomery County Comprehensive Plan. The Board of Zoning Appeals Application filed on April 1, 2021 and other related information may be examined in person at the Department of Planning and GIS Services, County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Suite 2A, Christiansburg, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or by visiting our website at https://www.montva. com/pendingapplications.
