Armed man arrested after threats at Roanoke Co. grocery store, police say

An armed man was arrested Sunday afternoon following a disturbance at a grocery store in northeast Roanoke County.

Police were called to the Food Lion at Plantation and Hollins roads around 1:45 p.m. for a report of a man with a gun making threats toward people, a county spokeswoman said.

The man, whom police have not yet identified, was taken into custody shortly before 2 p.m.
