A Roanoke man has been charged in a shooting that sent two women to the hospital Saturday, Roanoke police said.

Police responded at 1:20 p.m. to the 800 block of Queen Avenue Northwest, where they found two women with what appeared to be serious gunshot wounds, according to a Sunday news release. Both were taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

After a brief foot chase, officers arrested Tashaun Dixon, 20, the release said. He's charged with two counts of malicious wounding.
