To Chip's family: I first met Chip when he graduated and became Law Clerk for Judge Clyde Pearson at the USBC. That smile of his had all of us the first time he came in. He was such a delight to work with and had us laughing most of the time. After he left the Court he became a regular in the office and courtroom and still carried that smile. He fought the battle with dignity and courage until the end. My heart is saddened like so many others at his loss and I will always feel fortunate to have known him.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Chip Magee, Judge Pearson’s first Law Clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Chip was an amazing young man who had a lot to give back to society and his passing was far too soon. May he soar on the wings of Angels. God bless his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
