1) Please read Apocalypse Never--by an environmentalist MIchael Stellenberger, who worries about climate change, but claims correctly that it isn't the apocalypse that some claim it is. 2) Also watch Michael Moore's new movie, Planet of the Humans. MIchael is no conservative, but he has realized that wind and solar are anything but "green." They have their place, but on a large scale they will do more damage to the environment than they will benefit it. Nuke is the way to go. 3) Read the climategate emails. Once you read them, you'll understand how you were duped by climate scientists who did far more advocacy than science. And 4) Read Inconvenient Facts by Gregory Wrightstone. He presents peer reviewed data that show that the fearsome hurricanes, tornadoes, and droughts are not increasing, either in number or in intensity. Sure, there are spikes here and there (last fall had lots of hurricanes) but 2005-26 was a historical record low for hurricanes. It is amazing how many people confuse dire predictions with reality. 5) There is a correlation between CO2 levels and temperature, but nowhere near what the faulty computer models predicted. Yet some scientists even said that they'll believe the models over the data. That's not science! And no one has actually proven that it is the CO2, for sure, that is warming the planet. Furthermore, some studies have shown a net benefit to some warming.

There is so much wrong in your comment that I cant cover it all in a paragraph, or even a peer reviewed paper, but I can assure you of a couple of verities:

1. That atmospheric CO2 concentration has a major influence on the worlds climate has been established science for over 125 years. In 1895, the Swedish Scientist Arrhenius demonstrated the effect in his laboratory and estimated that the arctic would warm 15C if atm CO2 increased by 2x - 3x. Not far off.

2. The scientific work that has been expended since then is enormous -- and 99% of the research has concluded that Mans burning of fossil fuels is the cause of industrial age warming the climate. The scientific consensus is nearly 100%, whether measured by scientist's opinions, published peer reviewed papers, or by the conclusions of the world's scientific institutions. This finding of science is solid, and non-controversial.

3. Atmospheric CO2 is now higher than its been in 3.6 million years. And at that time sea levels were 78 feet higher, and global temperatures about 8C warmer than today. Those conditions are where planet earth is headed again, unless action is taken, eg Carbon pricing or other policies to transition to renewable energy and away from fossil fuels. If we dont, the worlds coastal cities will be uninhabitable, and other changes will make our world unrecognizable to us. So we have a choice. Sit back and pretend the science is wrong --or take action. The solutions are known. All we need is the politicial will.
